AI meeting notes for Windows

Check Windows requirements, install Drushya, test your microphone and computer audio, and prepare your first meeting notes.

What you need before installing

  • A Windows 10 or later computer, using the 64-bit Windows installer.
  • A working microphone and speakers or headphones selected in Windows sound settings.
  • An internet connection to upload recordings and prepare transcripts and notes.
  • A Drushya account to record and access your meetings.

The desktop app captures meeting audio. You can also view and manage notes in the web app using the same account. Browser access does not replace the Windows recorder.

Install and make your first recording

  1. Open the official Download page and download the MSI installer. That page lists the current version and installation guidance.
  2. Run the installer, open Drushya, and sign in or create an account.
  3. In the Drushya desktop app, open Settings → Preferences → Recording devices and select the microphone you want to record.
  4. In Windows Settings → System → Sound, set the speakers or headphones you will use as the default output. Then open your meeting app’s Settings or Preferences, find its Audio or Devices section, and choose that same device for Speaker or Output. Drushya records the Windows output automatically; it has no separate output-device selector.
  5. After agreeing to record with the participants, choose Start Drushya and check the recording status.
  6. Choose Stop when finished. Open Meetings to check processing progress and review the completed notes.

Use a short test before your first important call

For a simple test, speak a few sentences into your microphone and play a short spoken audio clip you are allowed to record through your chosen output device. After processing, look for both sources in the transcript.

Example test: say “The project review is on Tuesday,” then play a clip that says a different sentence. If only one appears, check the corresponding input or output device and try again before recording a client meeting.

  • Your voice is missing: check the microphone is unmuted, selected under Drushya Settings → Preferences → Recording devices, and available to desktop apps in Windows permissions.
  • Other voices are missing: check your meeting app’s speaker selection matches the default output device in Windows Settings → System → Sound. Drushya uses that Windows output device automatically.
  • Notes are still processing: check the connection and meeting status. Longer recordings can take more time.

Review before using the result

Open the summary, transcript, and tasks. Check names, numbers, decisions, and task owners against the conversation. Edit the notes to add context and correct errors.
