AI meeting notes without a bot

Understand how Drushya records on Windows, processes audio online, and turns a conversation into notes without a bot joining your call.

Capture the conversation from your computer

Drushya records your default Windows microphone and the audio playing through your default speakers or headphones. You start recording in the desktop app. There is no extra participant to invite or admit to the meeting.

This can suit a client call or project review where you want to listen, ask questions, and prepare a written record afterward. Tell participants you plan to record and agree how the notes will be used before starting.

Get a reminder when a meeting starts

On Windows, Drushya can detect when a supported meeting app or browser uses your microphone and show a prompt to start taking notes. A browser prompt may indicate a possible meeting, so check what is using your microphone before you start.

Detection is a reminder, not automatic recording. Drushya records only after you choose Start Drushya. You can turn the detection popup off in Preferences and still start a recording yourself.

What happens to the recording?

  1. Record on Windows. Check your microphone and output device, then choose Start Drushya. Use the same output device in your meeting app.
  2. Stop when the discussion ends. The recording is uploaded for online processing. An internet connection is needed to prepare the notes.
  3. Review the results. Open the meeting to read the transcript with speaker labels, summary, and tasks. Correct details before sharing a follow-up.

Recording on your computer does not mean the AI processing stays on your computer. Read the privacy and data handling page before deciding whether this workflow fits your meeting.

What useful notes can look like

This fictional project review illustrates a record you could prepare after checking the generated notes. It is not a customer recording or a promise of identical output.

Summary: The team reviewed the onboarding prototype. The sign-up flow is ready for a pilot; the billing screen still needs a decision.

Decision: Start the pilot with five internal users.

Action: Priya will send the pilot invitation by Tuesday, 6 October.

Open question: Who approves the billing screen? Confirm an owner at the next review.

A useful review separates agreed decisions from suggestions. If the transcript does not establish an owner or date, keep it as an open question instead of turning it into a commitment.

Check the audio before relying on the notes

Make a short test recording with your usual microphone and headphones. Confirm that the resulting transcript includes both your voice and the audio you hear. A recording cannot recover speech that never reached the selected devices.

See the recording instructions for device setup, or watch the Drushya overview. Record computer audio with the Windows app or in-person meetings with the Android app; the web app lets you view and manage your meeting notes.
